Wilbur forced Bette to marry Edward Halcombe who came from the “right” family and when Peter returned from his first year of college, he received the heartbreaking news that she had married another man – and a man he loathed at that. Bette never did stop loving Peter but remained faithful to Edward (though he never was to her) and went on to give him 5 children. Lately though, she has become increasingly unhappy in her marriage and is thinking of getting out if she can with her dignity intact.

She has no shame in encouraging Mia to follow in her footsteps and trap a wealthy man into marriage. She has always been miffed that her husband Peter still seems to carry a torch for his ex-fiancée Bette Halcombe.

Night and Day

Dee Habs, the former creator and head writer of the long-forgotten online soap "Port Charles: Life Before the Arcs", is back with her very own soap opera with all original characters played by some of the best and brightest actors in the industry. It will debut for the first time in July. Here's a glance at what's ahead:

~ A wedding is interrupted by a stunning announcement
~ A whirlwind affair begins
~ A long kept maternity secret is revealed
~ A college professor begins an illicit affair with one of her students
